From age 7 Years (Novice and
beginners welcome)
New pupils to the Stables are
requested to book a half hour
lesson of assessment before your
placement with Saturday Club.
Saturday Club is a great way for
children to learn to ride while
interacting with other
children.
The schedule is on going and
covers a wide variety of subjects
from stable management, pony care,
and riding.
On arrival the children will be
shown to the conference room
(portacabin) where they can leave
their pack lunch and jackets.
They will then be introduced to
the ponies and other children who
work in assessed groups, they will
be given instruction on how to muck
out, check water and feed a
pony.
Then Grooming will take place,
with demonstration of brushes and
how to use them, how to use a hoof
pick.
As well as the tuition on stable
management and pony / horse care
the children have a half hour
lesson in the arena and at least a
half hour hack in which they will
also be given instruction and
supervision.
Saturday Club gives children the
opportunity to learn all the
aspects of looking after a
pony,
